Since he was old enough to properly handle a marker, Barak has been steadily destroying walls, carpets and valuable textbooks with imaginative sketches and designs. Discovering the elusive paintbrush in his early twenties, Barak has now turned his creativity towards canvas full time.

Drawing on his upbringing on the Gulf Coast of Florida and his decades long journey westward, Barak places into his works everything from his personal quest for spiritual truth to years traveling with an improv comedy troupe across the heartland of America. Drawing inspiration from a world of contradictions, Barak finds a harmony, an ability to illustrate beauty in the harsh, a laugh in the tragic, hope and truth in the dark. Never one to pass up a good story, he aspires to tell the tales of our human existence in each piece.

Producing works for fifteen years, he is currently living in Los Angeles, California. Barak uses mostly acrylics and aerosols… and occasionally a textbook.
